Virus!!!

I got hit… bad… it’s quite embarrassing actually. I hit ok when some odd box came up when browsing… rookie mistake. One click and I seem to have a bad one, which seems to be called “worm.win32.netsky”. This one seems to be some scam to sell anti virus software of all things. The software installs a lot of things that seem to point to the following domains.

advancedcleaner.com

xpantiviruspro.com
system-defender.com
Add all of these domains to your firewall.
Now here’s the fun part… McAfee couldn’t detect it so I tried Trendmicro. No Dice. Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool also came up empty on the first run.Now I know a fair amount about computers, and windows in particular, but I wasn’t sure what to do at this point. If you google around you find a bit of software called “SpyHunter” which according to some posts is also a scam…
So not entirely sure what to do … I called Microsoft Product Support Services at +1 (866) PC-SAFETY (+1 (866) 727-2338) … yeah I know but I have to admit they helped a lot. (Thanks Glenn & Manisha)

Semacore.com just needs content
Wolf’s sites: Signss.com & Keypanom are moved. Although the database for keypanom has to be rewritten since the developer that was paid to do it never supplied it (Thanks S).
Got a lot more content to put into HedgeFund.ca including a list of Canadian based hedge funds.
The site for Louise’s Film Working It Out is moved
Still have some work to do on Elite Film & GreenBridge Entertainment. Happy with the look of EliteFilm but still need to put in the menu system and the graphics Wolf did for GreenBridge just look great.
